Matrona Sedum

The Sedum `Matrona\’ is one of the finest of all upright sedums in its family. Its sturdy, dark burgundy stems look wonderful with its gray green leaves, edged with a deep rose color. The umbrella-like flower heads are maroon to pale pink. Blooming from August to September, it has a plant height of 18\” and a spread of 12\”. `Matrona\’ is a great choice for beds and borders and excellent as cut flowers. It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor and is disease resistant.

Suffolk (Red) Grape

The Suffolk Grape (Red), Vitis labrusca \’Suffolk\’, produces large loss clusters of very round, medium sized red grapes. These grapes are seedless, have very tender skin and are delicious eaten fresh or cooled down as a dessert. The Suffolk grape ripens a couple weeks earlier than the Concord grape. This grape is very winter hardy and can be used for table or commercial uses. Grapevines can be ornamental, and are valuable as shade or screen plants in the home or landscape.

Rosemary

The Rosemary plant, \’Rosmarinus officinalis\’, has a pine flavor and is a must for lamb, pork, poultry, carrots, and peas. Rosemary is an excellent container herb for indoors and adds a wonderful aroma. The very aromatic smell of the rosemary will make you fall in love with this herb. The Rosemary has very narrow grey-green needlelike leaves that are 1/2 to 1 inch long. Both the leaves and the flowers are edible. Plant in the spring and starting the plants indoors is recommended.

Green Zebra Tomato

The Tomato Bush Green Zebra, \’Lycopersicon Lycopersicum\’, is an old heirloom variety. Green Zebra is very flavorful, sweet, yet zingy and well balanced and not too acidic. They are entirely crack free and unique. Green Zebras are a rich, golden green with forest green stripes and a very smooth skin. The tomatoes are tennis ball sized, about 3 to 4 ounces. Tomatoes need at least 1 inch of water a week. Soak to depth of 6 to 10 inches when watering. They need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day.
